Privacy Policy

Effective date: 22 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Quodel Technologies LTD (“Quodel”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles personal information when you visit https://quodel.com (the “Site”), contact us, claim a Website in 7 Days slot, subscribe for updates, or engage us for services.

Quodel is a remote-first Nigerian technology company. We design and build websites and web applications, manage sites, provide SEO services, and offer cybersecurity support for businesses and organizations worldwide.

1. Who we are

Quodel Technologies LTD
Email: info@quodel.com
Phone: +234 812 744 8308
WhatsApp: +234 90 126 417 35
Location: Remote-first, serving clients worldwide

For privacy questions or requests, email info@quodel.com with the subject line “Privacy request”.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: what you send us, what your browser provides, and what you share on WhatsApp.

Information you provide

  • Contact form: name, phone number, email address, company or organization name, and your message.
  • Website in 7 Days claim form: full name, role, email, phone or WhatsApp number, organization type (SME or NGO), organization name, a short description of what you do, and what you want the website to achieve.
  • Newsletter signup: email address.
  • Project work: brand assets, content, credentials, and other materials you share so we can deliver contracted services. Those materials are handled under your project agreement or statement of work.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard server and hosting logs may include IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referrer, and timestamps. We use this for security, debugging, and basic site operation.
  • We store your cookie preference in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask again on every visit.

WhatsApp and other channels

If you message us on WhatsApp, Meta Platforms processes that conversation under Meta’s terms and privacy policy. We use the content of your messages to respond and, where relevant, to start or continue a project discussion.

We do not currently run third-party advertising pixels or analytics scripts on the Site. If we add optional analytics later, we will only load them after you allow optional cookies in our consent banner, and we will update this policy.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and schedule conversations
  • Confirm and manage Website in 7 Days slots and other offers
  • Deliver contracted design, development, management, SEO, and security services
  • Send product or service updates when you subscribe or otherwise ask for them
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site
  • Comply with Nigerian law and respond to lawful requests

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal bases and Nigerian data protection

Where the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (and related regulations) apply, we process personal data on one or more of these grounds: your consent (for example optional cookies or newsletter signup), performance of a contract or steps before a contract (quotes, project delivery, claim-slot follow-up), our legitimate interests in running and securing the Site (balanced against your rights), and legal obligations.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom and contact us, we will handle your request under the same fairness principles and honor access, correction, and deletion requests described below, where those laws apply to our processing.

5. Sharing and processors

We share personal information only as needed to operate:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that serve the Site and store application data on our behalf
  • Email and communication tools we use to reply to you
  • Meta / WhatsApp when you choose to contact us on WhatsApp
  • Professional advisers (for example accountants or lawyers) when required for our business
  • Authorities when the law requires disclosure

Service providers may only use personal information to perform services for us, not for their own unrelated marketing.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We group cookies and similar storage as follows:

  • Essential: required for basic Site function and to remember your cookie choice (stored in local storage under a Quodel consent key).
  • Optional: analytics or similar measurement tools, if and when we enable them. These stay off until you choose “Allow optional” on the consent banner.

You can change your mind by clearing site data for quodel.com in your browser, which resets the banner, or by emailing us. See also our Terms of Service for related Site rules.

7. Retention

  • Inquiry and claim-slot messages: kept for as long as needed to respond and for up to 24 months afterward, unless a project continues or law requires longer retention.
  • Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address.
  • Project materials: for the life of the engagement and a reasonable archive period afterward for records, warranties, and disputes, unless your contract says otherwise.
  • Server logs: typically short periods needed for security and operations.

8. Security

We use HTTPS on the Site and apply reasonable technical and organizational measures when handling client and inquiry data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that creates a real risk to your rights, we will take steps required by applicable Nigerian law, including notification where mandated.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we hold personal information about you
  • Access a copy of that information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete information we no longer need to keep
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Object to certain processing based on legitimate interests

Send requests to info@quodel.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent authority where you live.

10. Children

The Site and our services are aimed at businesses and organizations, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

As a remote-first company, we and our processors may handle information in Nigeria and in other countries where hosting or tools operate. Where we transfer personal data outside Nigeria, we take steps appropriate under applicable law to keep it protected.

12. Third-party sites

The Site may link to third-party websites (including our social profiles and client case study URLs). Their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies before sharing information with them.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy for future visits. For material changes that affect how we use personal information you already shared, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example a notice on the Site or an email if we have your address).
