Overview
The MAAR Review extends the Muktar Aliyu Art Residency (MAAR) in Minna, Nigeria. Operated by residency fellows, it publishes poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and visual art, giving young Nigerian creatives a platform shaped by residency culture, mentorship, and Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation values.
Challenge
MAAR needed more than a brochure for the residency. The Review required an issue-based publication site that could introduce the residency’s philosophy, present Issue 1 and Issue 2 with contributor depth, and remain editable as fellows rotate editorial roles.
Solution
Quodel built an editorial site centered on issues and creative work, with space for poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and visual art, plus context about the residency and its fellows. The experience holds literary seriousness while staying approachable for young writers and readers discovering MAAR for the first time.
